Kyle is an accomplished designer, director, and creative thinker who has led a diverse range of projects from broadcast work for clients such as HBO, MTV, and SPEED networks, to commissioned video & environmental graphic installations, music videos, and video games. In 2007, his music video “Summer Skin” for Death Cab For Cutie appeared on the Grammy—nominated video collection “Directions”. Kyle received a BS in Graphic Design from the University of Cincinnati, and has applied these talents across many facets of the design spectrum including identity/branding, environmental wayfinding, motion graphics, and interactive design.

Led / managed a motion design team within this full-service shop whose projects encompassed production to post-production of broadcast packages, music videos, long-form graphic PSAs / narrative-driven animation, documentaries, video games, web content and traditional broadcast commercial work. Given the variety of motion design opportunities, my role as creative director necessitated the ability to manage, design, animate, composite, and VFX supervise.

LIFT was also fortunate to join forces with Robomodo in creating some exciting in-game animation for Tony Hawk RIDE.

Motion Designer / Director, Lightborne, Cincinnati, OH. Collaborative animation house specializing in Broadcast Design and Music Videos. In the winter of 2005, I wrote and directed the Death Cab For Cutie video “Summer Skin” as part of their Grammy nominated series “Directions”. Our clients include HBO, MTV, Finlandia Vodka, The Columbus Blue Jackets (NHL), ECCO Golf, and various promotions & commercials for Lee Cooper Jeans in the UK. In 2006, Commissioned by Catt Lyon Design to concept a graphic direction for the new Yankees Stadium in NYC.
